Children and Youth

FCC believes children hold a certain special place in the heart of God. Jesus said to let the children come to him, and we at FCC create spaces where children can experience the Love of God and get close to Jesus. Each age group has certain developmental needs and we try to tailor our programs to the needs of the age group your child falls into. We are also committed to creating a warm and loving space where you child can learn and grow in faith.

Sunday School

9:30-10:25 a.m. sundays

Meeting from 9:30 - 10:25 a.m. weekly during the school year (September - May) the Children's Ministry Team offers Sunday School classes for all ages. Each class follows an age appropriate curriculum which helps the youth or child grow in faith and learn to share God’s Love. The lessons include music, dancing, crafts, and engaging in fellowship with other children of similar ages.

Children's Church   (September - May)

Children’s church is offered during our second service only. We meet in room 3 at 10:45, following the children's moment. Children in preschool through 2nd grade are invited to engage in fellowship with children their own age. They will go through stories in the bible while listening to music, enjoying games or a craft. If the weather is cooperative we will venture outside to play in the bounce house! We look forward to meeting you at Children’s Church.

Children's Church LIte (June-August)

Children ages 3 through children entering 2nd grade are invited to join us during second service for a fun summer of lessons and activities! Weather permitting all classes will be outside, and there may be a little dirt involved so dress for fun times! Parents will still pick up their little ones from room 3 after the Church service.

J.U.M.P.   (September - May)

Taking place in our worship service at 10:30 a.m. directly following children’s moment. Children in 3rd through 7th grade, are invited to engage in fellowship with children their own age. This class is unique, creative and interactive. Our children will explore every book of the Bible, memorizing each one as we go along. Each book will have a verse chosen in which we discuss how it relates to our lives in school, in our homes, and with our friends or family. We enjoy the occasional refresher on what we learned in the past weeks while playing Jeopardy!  We look forward to you joining our adventure as we JUMP through the Bible together.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Each summer, FCC hosts a week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) for our community. Our themed week will take us all on an exciting adventure through faith as we learn about God, and what he can do for us. VBS is a wonderful chance for your child to spend a week in the summer learning how to build a stronger relationship with God. Our adventure will give us many opportunities to engage in fun activities such as, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, story telling, games, and bible explorations.

YOUTH MISSION TRIPS

Over the last 20 years our high school youth have traveled to different parts of the country each summer to help share God's love to his people through mission trips. Along the way to transforming homes, the faith of students is transformed and strengthened.

We have supported our middle school youth on a three to four day mission trip to Newton Iowa, at our Christian Conference Center. We look forward to planning next summer's mission trip for both middle school and high school youth. Watch our facebook page and Caller for information closer to our mission trip.
